The competition will take place at the very well known Olympic Shooting Range – Shooting Centre Gaj - Maribor in Slovenia, which is equipped with 7 Trap, Double Trap and Skeet ranges. The Range hosted very successfully the ISSF World Cup Final of 2004, the European Championships 2006, the ISSF World Cup 2007 and several Grand Prix of Europe. It is situated at a distance of 10 km from Maribor and 120 km from Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia and Ljubljana Airport. The Shooting Centre Gaj has full cafeteria and restaurant facilities that can offer meals, lunch, dinner etc. at very reasonable prices.
| 2. CLAY TARGET THROWING MACHINES |
The Range uses the most modern equipment available for the launching of clay targets (Matarelli), as well as the most reliable electronic equipment (Elfipa), which allows for completely computerized display of results and classifications. The Skeet layouts operate with phonopul system.
The color of the clay targets that will be used during the competition will be orange (TOP TARGET manufactured by Eurosport d.o.o. from Slovenia). Flash orange clay targets will be used for all the finals.
The competition will be conducted according to the ISSF rules and Regulations.
Slovenia through its main international airport in Ljubljana offers excellent travel connections worldwide. Adria Airways (the national airline of Slovenia) has direct connections with many countries whereas many other international airlines hold regular flights to and from Ljubljana or Maribor airport which is mainly used by private planes.
The Republic of Slovenia is a member of the European Union and Shengen agreement. Shooters and officials possessing a valid passport can enter Slovenia through the Ljubljana international airport or other border without any problem. A minimum number of nationalities, which are not members of the European Union, will require entry visas. Those must be obtained from the nearest Slovenian consular departments abroad. Detailed information regarding visas and formalities for entry into Slovenia can be found in the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, www.gov.si/mzz/. The Organizing Committee will be ready - if necessary - to supply special invitation letters to all those nationalities which require a visa to enter Slovenia. (Please, do not hesitate to contact the Organizing Committee for any help or other necessary documentation)!
All participants (Except those holding a European firearms pass) will be requested upon arrival at Ljubljana airport or other border, to present to customs the completed shotgun declaration form in triplicate in order to obtain a temporary individual gun permit. One copy must be sent to the Organizing Committee together with the final entry forms. European firearm pass holders must present the pass at customs upon arrival, also. All delegations will be escorted through customs at the time of arrival. The gun permits or the European firearms pass must be represented to customs at the time of departure before check-in.
The custom authorities will allow all participating shooters to import with them all the necessary ammunition that will be used for the competition. Ammunition such as B&P, Fiocchi, RC, Mirage, will be available for sale at Gaj Shooting Center.
| 9. STORAGE OF GUNS AND AMMUNITION |
Limited storage of guns and ammunition will be available at the range. Holders of a temporary gun permit or a European firearms pass are allowed to carry and store freely their weapons and ammunition at their hotels during their stay in Slovenia.
| 10. PARTICIPATION - EVENTS - CATEGORIES |
Events: Trap, Double Trap, Skeet (Men, Men Junior, Women and Women Junior) individual and team. The maximum number of participants per event, per category is three (3).
| 11. ENTRY FEES & TRAINING |
All payments have to be made in Euros. Unfortunately, credit cards or personal cheques will not be accepted.

- Entry fee per shooter per event: 170 Euro
- Fee for each Official: 50 Euro
- Training per round of Skeet or Trap: 7 Euro
- Training per round of D. Trap: 14 Euro

Preliminary Entries
Each national federation entering the Championship must submit a preliminary entry to the Organizing Committee. The preliminary entry must list all individual and team events in which the national federation will participate. Any preliminary entries received after the Final Program is published will be entered on a waiting list according to the date of the receipt of the entry and it may be that the participation is only possible if places are available. The Organizing Committee will inform the Nations in question of any such change immediately after these entries are received.
Final Entries
Final Entries must be forwarded directly to the ISSF by fax or e-mail before midnight ( Munich time) of the 30th day before the official arrival day. The final entries to the ISSF may be made via the ISSF online registration http://entry.issf-sports.info. The final entry must list the names and ID Numbers of all shooters. Also the final entry must list the names and dates of birth of all officials with their function.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject any entries received after the deadlines and / or establish a waiting list.
Late Entries
Late entries received after the deadline for final entry will not be allowed to participate unless received by the ISSF three (3) days before the official arrival day and the following can be complied with:
- the final Program may not be changed;
- the late entries do not cause a problem with any other organizational matters;
- any entry accepted after the final entry deadline will incur an additional penalty fee of Euro 50.00 for each shooter entered in each event which has to be paid to the Organizing Committee by the federation who makes the late entry.
Any additional entries received after the deadline of three (3) days before the official arrival day may not participate. Any federation reducing the number of shooters and / or officials after the Final Entry Deadline is obligated to pay all applicable fees and costs including entry fees according to the number of shooters and entries on the Final Entry Forms originally received. If the applicable fees and costs are not paid no member of that federation may participate.
| 13. REGISTRATION AND PAYMENTS |
Registration, payment of the entry fees and payment of the hotels must be made to the Organizing Committee at the Shooting Center Gaj.
The Organizing Committee will provide for all participants free return transport from the official hotels to the Shooting Range. Any participants not accommodated at the official hotels will be responsible for their own means of transport to and from the Range. A fee of 20 Euro per person will be charged for the transport (return trip) of the delegations from Ljubljana airport to the official hotels.
| 15. JURY OF APPEAL – JURY – RANGE REFEREES |
A Jury and a Jury of Appeal that will be designated by the ISSF will supervise the competition. Qualified Range Referees holding a valid official ISSF Shotgun Referee license will officiate at the competition
| 16. SHOOTERS DECLARATION AND ISSF ID NUMBERS |
All shooters must sign a "Shooter's Declaration" and have an ISSF ID Number before participation in any ISSF supervised Competition / Championship. Failure to deliver a signed declaration before any start will lead to disqualification and cancellation of the results obtained.
The Organizing Committee will conduct doping control according to the ISSF anti-doping rules and regulations.
The currency of the Republic of Slovenia is the Euro. The exchange rate of the Euro to the U.S. dollar as of December 08, is 1 EUR = 1.27 US$.
The climatic conditions in Slovenia in the month of August are normally as follows:

| 20. ACCOMMODATION AND HOTEL RESERVATIONS |
The delegations will be accommodated at selected three, four and five star hotels in Maribor, Ptuj, Rogaska Slatina and Slovenska Bistrica, located at less than a twenty-minute drive from the Shooting Centre Gaj - Maribor, at very reasonable prices. The list of the official hotels and the Reservation Form can be found on separate sheets. All hotel reservations must be made through the Organizing Committee and would be on a first come, first serve basis. The completed Reservation Form must be returned by the 6th of February 2009 the latest. The deadline for any changes and / or cancellations is the 6th of July 2009. Any cancellations received after the deadline would be subject to a penalty fee of 30% of the total cost.
